Should I apply without SAT subject tests?

Greetings,

An international HS senior here, doing Intl. A Levels. Had trouble with credit card; couldn’t register for SAT subject tests. Will be taking the real SAT in December.

How disadvantaged will I be without subject tests?

Thanks!

(applying to either CLAS or CoC for a chemistry major)

Berkeley doesn’t accept SAT/ACT test scores this year but does accept SAT Subject Tests. If you have A level exams it’s not a big deal, as those scores also show subject knowledge.

Berkeley Testing Policy: https://admissions.berkeley.edu/freshman-policy

https://admission.universityofcalifornia.edu/admission-requirements/freshman-requirements/exam-requirement/sat-subject-tests.html says that subject tests in math level 2 and a science related to intended major are recommended (not required) for applying to the College of Chemistry or College of Engineering (but not the College of Letters and Science).
