It wasn't until very recently i thought about applying to Clemson so i was wondering if it's too late to apply. I noticed a thread at the bottom of the page that said the deadline wasn't until may 1st, but if I applied now would i get a decision back before may 1st so i can have time to put down the housing fee somewhere else if I don't get in. I have a 3.2 GPA and 1260/1600 SAT which I know is low for the school, so would I be better off transferring there after a semester of college? I was going to the University of South Carolina, but i want a more college town feel and Clemson seems awesome. Thanks for any help.

If you love Clemson you should still apply! It’s worth a shot!

If I do go to the university of south carolina and would still rather go to clemson, would I be able to transfer mid year or is it better to after a whole year. Also how are the greek houses, the ones at south carolina are sweet but I didn’t get to see the ones at Clemson.

you can transfer mid-semester, the greek houses at Clemson are off-campus but the ones that I have been to so far are pretty sweet

I tried searching this but my computer is being wierd, is it any harder to get into the greek system if your from the north

I have one more question, sorry if I’m asking to many. One of the reasons I’m interested in Clemson is the outdoor recreation offered, so I was wondering how heavy is the course load and is there a lot of free time, or does it require lots of work to get good grades compared to other schools ( I plan on majoring in biology btw).

The course load is intense for me but I think it would be the same wherever I went for a science/engineering major. It’s not hard to get into the greek system if you’re from the north, there are several fraternities that take a lot of people from the north
