I am currently a freshman at the Johns Hopkins University, although my life plan had always been to go to Stanford. My goal since I was very young was to attend the school, and every extracurricular I became a part in since I was a child was for Stanford. However, on a whim, I applied Early Decision to Hopkins, and, naturally, was accepted. I feel as though had I applied as a senior to Stanford I would have been accepted, but now, with the transfer rate being at a low 1-2%, any chance of acceptance looks dismal. Should I attempt it? Or perhaps should I wait to transfer for junior year as students typically do? Or is it a lost cause all together? Would my being at Hopkins, the fantastic school that it is, be of any aid?
