I chose to go to Cal so already paid sir.
Anyway-
I'm an international student and physically in my country.
I wonder if Cal's orientation is worth to attend paying about $1500 to buy plane ticket.
I know if I attend the orientation, I can add the classes easily and early, and I think that is really important.
Should I just pay $1500(this is not a small amount for me)???

you can opt to not goto CalSo and just register yourself.

Lol. I love the “physically in my country” part. :] I don’t think it would be worth it for you to pay $1500 unless all of your classes get filled up really quickly, in which case it might be useless to even attend in the fall if you couldn’t even get into any of your classes.

I know the orientation is not mendatory, but I’m afraid the classes I want to take might be full very quickly after the orientation…
And, the students, who didn’t attend the orientation, can register the classes a lot later than student, who went to the orientation.

no not worth 1500
you can still do the “getting to know your bearings” in august
and you’ll still be able to register for classes, maybe not your first choice, but after your first semester there, you’ll be able to register on your own.
as long as you’re taking your major reqs, it wont be a problem.
you have to take the same classes regardless of which semester you take it
