Should I be disappointed with my score? Quick read!

Hey guys,

I'm a Sophomore who just took the SAT. I received the following:

660 Math
700 Critical Reading
690 Writing

Composite: 2050

Is this a bad score? I understand it's not quite what some of you would consider suitable, but as a sophomore hoping to get a 2250-2300 by Senior year, am I on the right track? Did any of you 2250+ people have a similar score in Sophomore year? Thanks!

No, you shouldnt be disappointed because you did better than about 94% of the other students who took the test. Youre smart, dont forget that.

However, you may need to increase it a bit for the more elite colleges, which you should be able to do since youre a sophomore. Just study as much as you can and boost those scores. Your scores for each section are pretty neutral with eachother, theres not a big outlier that needs work, but I would say increase math, then CR, then writing. Because writing is the easiest to improve and least important.

Good luck!

No way should you be disappointed! I never took it till the end of junior year, but you have a whole year to improve if you wish to do so. But still, your score is great, especially for a sophomore. Be happy!

Depends how much you studied
