Hey guys,

So I applied to MIT EA, and now that decisions are coming up in about a week or so I'm starting to worry whether or not I made a good decision on what to write about on my additional section.

As a student who came from a foreign country during 9th grade, I underwent numerous hardships, starting from learning a new language to trying to making completely new friends in the US. I could honestly create a speech about 3 hours long that discussed my experiences, what I learned from them, and how I grew up as a better individual.

I was trying to write about these experiences in my additional section essay, but my parents told me that those topics are too common and instead encouraged me to write about my research experience, which I did so.

Back then I also thought that writing about my experiences in a foreign land was too common, but now I'm starting to worry because I feel like I should've written about my experiences in the US instead, because my app is nothing too special. And besides, my research wasn't anything novel either.

I don't know, just going through a time of anxiety haha...

What do you guys think?
