Brown is my absolute dream school, but it is also EXTREMELY unlikely that I would get in. I have a 2200 on the SAT and some great ECs, but compared to the rest of the applicant pool, I can probably be considered a weak applicant. As of now, I have three subject tests (Math 2-730, Math 1-700, Chem-650). I only sent in Math 1 and Math 2. I can retake the subject tests in January, but the only school I would be able to use them for/send them to is Brown. Is it worth spending the money and time to retake and study for three different tests, when the fact is that even if I were to get three 800s, I would probably still be denied…or is there some hope? Thank you in advance!!!

I think the bigger question here is one of regret. Which would you regret more: putting in the time to do your best on a second set of subject tests despite the potential for rejection or never knowing how you would have done both on the tests and in the admissions arena? That’s something no stranger on the internet can answer for you.

I would take one more test. Sending in two math scores, neither that great, won’t help you in the admissions pool, and if you got a 2200, you clearly have some other areas where you could do much better on a test.

Thank you so much for the input! I did decide to sign up for the January test! :)
