Should I bother taking the March SAT?

I'm a senior in high school and unfortunately due to my mother's stubbornness and refusal to move a family affair to a different date, I missed the Jan/2011 SAT ):
My scores are pretty low, I have a 530 R/ 420 M/ 440 W and I was hoping to improve on math this time around. Since I have the opportunity to reschedule the test date to March should I do it?

I've applied to UCF, FSU, USF, FAU for the summer term and i'm very nervous about being admitted or not. What should i do?

If the colleges of choice will still accept your scores in March/April, then absolutely, go for it. Good luck!

Yeah, as sMITten (great name, btw) said, check with the colleges if they would accept the scores. If yes, then there is no reason not to take it.

thank you guys! I’m going to sit down with my BRACE adviser to see if we can contact the admissions office of all the schools I’ve applied to, to see what they say about my March testing.

January is the last SAT score that FSU accepts for the 2nd round notifications. They also require that you have a 500 on each subsection. Are you registered for tue February ACT? Because I know that’s the last ACT that FSU accpets. Basically unless you want to better your scores for Bright Futures purposes than theirs really not point because they won’t get the score in time for admission notifications. Good luck! :)

Wow are you serious? I dont think any non-rollings admission school accepts the March SAT…

well at least if you dont get it you can point the finger and say MOM ITS YOUR FAULT :)

^I think he will do more than point the finger. lol He will be mad at her for a very long time. Not to mention how bad she’s going to feel knowing that her child didnt get into the university of their choice because of her.

Thank you everyone who has answered my question.

But anywhoo! I plan on taking the Feb ACT and I’ve been studying non-stop and hopefully I can over come my intense anxiety that really distracts me from the test and I get to the point where I’m sick and cannot focus anymore. I also plan on taking the SAT since I have nothing to lose and it doesn’t hurt to try.

Once again thank you everyone (: and fyi: I’m a girl lol I noticed alot of people were saying he/his

@DemolitX, yea I’m hoping thing won’t turn out that way, things with my mom lately have been really tense since I’ve missed the test and I couldn’t imagine how I would react if things don’t go as planned university wise.
