Should I change my second-choice major?

I applied Regular Decision to VT as a Computer Engineering major. I’m hoping to be admitted directly to the College of Engineering, but I chose Physics as my alternate major because I’m genuinely interested in it. I heard most people put University Studies as their second choice and then try to transfer in, and I’m wondering if it’ll affect my chances of admission if I put Physics instead of US because I’m not sure how competitive Physics admissions are.

Basically what I’m asking is would I have an easier time getting into VT with my second-choice major as University Studies or Physics? VT is my top school.

If it matters, here are my stats:

GPA: 3.75 (Honors is weight +0.25 and AP +1.0)
(rough sophomore year but awesome junior/senior year)
ACT English: 34
ACT Math: 33
ECs: two part-time jobs, peer tutoring one year, math league and science olympiad two years

Bump… im in the same boat, but also what did you end up doing
