I am a rising Junior, and plan on applying for internships next summer. I plan on applying to the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute for a highly competitive internship w/ researchers (1 in 8 applicants accepted). If I get in, could this really set me apart from other applicants, or is this a well known, and common thing to do. I am genuinely interested in Biomedical research, and I want to demonstrate my passion in the best way possible. Is this the best way to demonstrate my passion?

YEAH, you can’t really get a whole lot better than that to tell you the truth, it is pretty much researching at NIH. It really helps your application

If that’s what you find interesting and exciting, then yes, it’s a great opportunity!

I think I am doing it… thanks for the support guys.
