Should I contact my regional admissions rep?

I was deferred and a few weeks ago my GC gave me the name and email address of Brown’s admissions representative for my region. Should I contact him, or is it too late by now for it to have any impact? What should I say? I already sent a letter to the main admissions office stating that Brown is still my #1 choice and explaining that I am a great fit for the school…I also attached an update of achievements and accomplishments since last November. Should I reiterate the same information to my local rep? Please help out because I’m running out of time…advice from past deferred applicants would be great!

I don't think it would hurt, but that's just a hunch. I have no inside knowledge about this....

I just emailed mine to update...go for it if you can think of any meaningful reason to contact him/her.

You can also send a similar letter like the one you sent to the admissions office directly to the regional admission officer at the admissions office. It cant hurt

My former regional admissions officer was/is SUPER NICE!!!
I applied ED in 2004, but now I'm applying as a transfer for 07. I kept her e-mail address saved all this time, and just decided to give her an email a few days ago. She replied within 2 hours, answering all my questions in great length. I also noticed in her signature that she is assistant director of admissions now; how's that for friendliness? Assistant director of Admissions answering questions from their own personal e-mails!
