Should I continue as a Premed student?

So I am currently a freshman, in the class of 2020, in a private, liberal arts college in Texas. Last semester, I pulled a 2.8-2.9 GPA. Is this a normal first semester GPA? Here are my courses and grades:
First Year Experience: B
General Chemistry: B
General Chemistry Lab: C
Sociology: B+
Asian Religions: C+
This semester, I am taking Integrative Biology with lab, Organic Chemistry with Lab, Psychology, and PE. I am failing my Organic Chemistry lecture and lab. I plan to withdraw from lab and retake it next year if I continue as a Premed student. As for lecture, I hope to bring it up to at least a B-. Is that a practical goal? Or should I withdraw from lectures as well, or should I aim for a C in it? And given my current situation and grades, should I continue as a premed or kiss my chances of getting into Med school goodbye? Is it better to have 3 C’s and one withdrawal for freshman year on my apps, or two C’s and two withdrawals? I definitely feel that I could’ve done better in Org Chem if I improved my study habits earlier. That maybe I can do better if I ever started over.

In the event that I don’t seem as a good candidate for Medical school, could I still try a route such as Predental, pre-optometry or PA school?
