Hey was just wondering if declaring my major as a college transfer student would hurt my chances of getting into any Universities. The reason I ask this is because I currently a community college student who is declared as a Liberal Arts major, however I am taking predominantly business oriented classes. I want to declare my major in the field of Business but am not sure if remaining Liberal Arts or if switching to a Business major would be a good call. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

bump

At most schools you have to apply to and be accepted into the business school. If that is the course of study you want to follow then I’d apply to the business schools as a transfer.

If you are transferring at the junior level, many colleges will expect you to declare a major at application.

ok but just making sure, does declaring my major before I apply to there business school change anything in terms of chances of getting accepted? Basically are they looking for students to have they’re major already declared or simply looking for it to be declared on the application?

Thanks for the advice btw
