Should I drop an AP class senior year?

Hi all,
I'm currently taking 5 APs and 1 regular class in my senior year, but I am struggling in AP Comparative Gov. I can get As in all my classes except for gov; I will most likely pull off a B in that class. I can still drop the class, however, without any effects on my transcript.

Before everyone flames me for not trying hard enough, please know that I will not drop the class if it hurts my overall college application.

Therefore, my question becomes, which option below would suit better in the perspective of an admissions officer?
1. Drop Gov, have only 5 classes but get all A's.
2. Keep gov, continue with my 6 classes, but risk getting a B.

My other classes are currently:
AP Chem
AP Bio
AP Calc BC
AP Psychology
English 4

I plan on applying to a few top schools.(Brown, Amherst, Carleton)

Thanks!

Its one B- it won’t kill you. I hate these questions- stay in the class!

I don’t think 5 vs 6 APs will matter much. What would you take instead?

Senior GPA would not affect much your overall GPA anyway. It would not be even shown on the transcript when you apply EA/ED andperhaps some RD with early deadlines. A B or even 1 C at the end is not likely to get you rescind from admission. It is up to you if you want to drop it or not. Perhaps you are hoping for certain award or class rank with a higher GPA. Otherwise, it would not be any issue either way. Nevertheless, if the class schedule is changed after you submit the application, you will have to notify the adcom.
