So I just started my first day as a Junior on August 22nd and I have been stressing out about my classes and what I should do. My classes this year/trimester consists of AP US History, AP Biology, Honors Pre Calc, AP Art History, and just American Literature. My school goes by trimesters and we have 5 classes each trimester.
I am planning on volunteering at UCSD health center, joining Sierra Club, Badminton Club, maybe Key Club, and I will be the vice president of French Club.

Although 3 AP classes might not seem a lot (some of my friends are taking 3-5 AP classes), it is pretty overwhelming to me. The reason why I chose to take regular American Lit. instead of AP English Language is because many of the students who have already taken that class said the class is difficult and the teacher is very strict on grading (they said it will be hard to earn an A in that class). Their experience and advice made a majority of the students, including me, in Honors Humanities to decide to take American Lit.

Some background info:
Last year (all three trimesters) I took Honors Humanities, Honors Alg 3-4, AP European History, Chemistry, French, Computer Graphics, Statistics, Ceramics, and Badminton P.E. (my school requires one more trimester of P.E. in order to graduate). I am a hardworking student and my grades last year were 4.0s except one trimester 3.8 because of Stats :( .
I joined and volunteered for Key Club, joined French Club, joined Sierra Club, and joined Badminton Club.
Freshman year I did not take any AP classes. I took Honors English, Honors Geometry, Bio, all three trimesters of P.E. (required to graduate), French, Health (required to graduate), and Orchestra. History was not given this year. I do not clearly remember my schedule for Freshman year but I am sure those are all the classes I took during Freshman year. My grades were 4.0s for all three trimesters. I joined Key Club and I volunteered at CM testing for piano.

I am planning on majoring somewhere in the medical field I am still hesitant on whether I should be a family doctor, pediatrician, or a vet. So therefore I decided to take AP Bio. However, I am taking two AP classes that involves history. I am not planning on majoring anywhere in history when I grow up.
The problem is, I am worried that I will focus on one-two classes rather than the others. Since all 3 APs require an extensive amount of reading and memorization, I am worried that I will not be able to handle it (+worried my grades will drop). I want to focus on and earn good grades for AP Bio and Honors Pre Calc/math and science since those are the main subjects that relate to what I am planning on majoring in. But I also want to focus on and earn good grades for my other classes too. My AP Bio teacher did not start teaching yet so I am not sure how everything will go.
Honestly, I have a low self-esteem and I worry a lot.
During sophomore year I was hesitant about dropping out of AP European History too, however, I decided to stick to it, and I ended up doing well :) . But junior year is really important and I need to decide fast. I am planning on staying in AP US History and dropping out of AP Art History (AP Art is an elective in my school). I like both classes but I guess this is the only way.

I heard a lot of colleges want you to take a lot of AP classes, so is this the right decision?
What do colleges require or want you to do to be accepted? Is it necessary to take AP Art?
If any of you have already taken these classes, can you give me some advice and tips?

I want to go to UCSD, but some of my family members suggest me to go to community college first and then go to UCSD?

Sorry for the very long post but thank you so much for helping me. I appreciate it a lot :)
