Should I drop out?

Hello. My college career is pretty…not so great. My GPA is a very subpar 2.6, and I have 3 F’s and a W/D on my transcript. Now it’s only from 2 classes, one I failed twice. Both repeated with much better scores. The W/D is from a class I knew I wouldn’t pass with more than a C.

I’m an accounting major. My GPA won’t move much. I’ll never get internships, and no matter how hard I work, I get C’s.

Go to student counseling - they are there to help you and to provide guidance. They will know more about your situation than random people on the internet, no matter how well meaning. Good luck to you.

Honestly… Your GPA could be much worse.
My school encourages some engineering majors to keep a 2.6… I’d say that you should talk to your advisor about actually switching your major because it sounds as if you aren’t doing too well in the required classes. Unless you really want to stick it out with accounting, you just have to find the root of your problem. Is it because you’re not putting much effort into it? There’s no doubt YOU can definitely do well in your classes but you have to change your study habits if you find that what you’re doing right now isn’t effective. Good luck!

Try to look into another major. Like what @toocoolforyou suggested. It might just not be the greatest fit for you. May I ask is accounting really what you intended to study ever since?
