Should I even apply?

Hi everyone. I want to apply to Stanford, just because. If I get in, it would be a miracle, and I would go there over any college, but the problem is I don’t know if I’m even qualified to even apply.
ACT: 34 (35E, 33M, 33R, 34S)
SAT II: Math 2: 800, Physics: 640 (I didn’t study and the only I’ve taken classes on mechanics).
GPA: 3.84/4. This is the number on my transcript and they do account for the ten points. It’s weird idk.
Essays: very different approach. I wrote as if I were talking to an admissions officers face to face so it’s very casual.
My extracurriculars are very generic. Few leadership positions.
Any feedback would be great. Thanks.

Academically, you reach the standards (requirements) to apply to Stanford. That 640 May reduce your chances but definitely doesn’t take you out of the race especially if other things in your app boosts you up. You never know what Stanford is looking for and your EC/leadership that you might find is generic could be something different in their eyes. Work hard on your essays cause it is your one chance to seem like more than numbers to the admissions officer. If you have the money, why not try? You don’t really have anything to lose (in comparison to what you can gain) and you definitely don’t want to say “what if”

seems like you should; I’m applying too and my stats are nothing compared to yours.

If you can write amazing essays you have a chance. Do you want to spend the next however long of your life asking “What if…?”

What makes your stand out besides test scores?

That’s what they want to know.

I wrote really risky essays. I knew my chances were extremely slim, so I just gave it a shot.
