the only school i'm looking at that requires the SAT II's is NYU. i am taking the act and i think i'll do pretty well on it. i know that if you submit the SAT you have to submit SAT II's....is that the same with ACT? do i HAVE to submit sat ii's if i send my act instead?

if the answer is yes, should i even apply to nyu? i will not attend if my debt is over 40k and i'm middle class. i do plan on getting a decent amount of scholarships.

I’m pretty sure that even if you take ACTs, if the school requires SAT IIs, you have to have them.

The debt question is really up to you. Think about how important going to NYU is to you, if it’s the best school for your major, preferences, etc.

If you’re sure no other school you want to go to doesn’t require SAT IIs and you decide to not apply to NYU, then, yeah, don’t take them.

Two SAT IIs need to be submitted even with ACT.

i just dont know if i should spend the money and time taking the 2 tests if im just gonna deny admission bc the debt would be too high, what do you think? take them and apply anyway (who knows how many scholarships ill get) or be logical and not apply?

If it’s only money you’re worried about, then go ahead and apply; you never know how much scholarship money you could get.
