Should I feel this way?

Being at the ripe old age of 14, i unfortunately don't have my driver's license, much less my permit. So I rely on my parents for transportation all the time, and it seems to really bug my parents. My mom is always complaining about having to pick me up after school when I have a club or something, and I feel really bad for making her pick me up since she has to work. To all those that depend on their parents for transportation, do you feel this way as well, or am I just going crazy?

(And carpooling isn't going to exactly work, since my mom is super scared of the thought of teens driving and me being a passenger on the car.)

Since I’m a mom, I know exactly how yours feel! I probably vent too much about all the driving, too, but I know it’s part of my job. You don’t have too much longer to wait before you can drive, so hang in there. You’re not going crazy - just make sure to thank your mom every time she gives you a ride. That helps a lot!

Haha, sometimes I feel the same way… like a nuisance that needs to be driven around all the time. you’ll have to wait a couple years, then you can buy a cheap car and be your own transportation. For now…sure it’s not the most convenient thing, but everyone has to do it. So happy that license is soon to be mine (:

My mom complains about driving me the 1/2 mile to school every morning, so yes; however, I’m seventeen next month, and should have my permit by now (I was too scared to get it on my sixteenth birthday, but I’m going to be getting it soon). So, no, you’re not crazy; I often feel bad when people go out of their ways to bring me places.

My mother complains about driving me to school in the morning, and its not even a mile - plus, its on her way to work, so she’s really only making one minor stop on a commute that she was going to make in the first place… but whenever I appear ungrateful for something, she never fails to say “I drive you to school missy, every morning, 6:30am when you could very well walk.”

Eh.
