Should I get an MBA

I am a business undergrad from Temple and and Educational Leadership master’s from St. Lawrence. I got into an MBA program at West Chester University and I am not sure if I should do it. I have always wanted an MBA but I do not necessarily need one. I work from home as a medical broker. Will I regret doing an MBA because I could have spent my time and money on other things, or will I regret not doing an MBA because who knows what possibilities it could open up… I fear regret either way.

I got a master’s in Education bc I was offered an assistantship and it was free but it did not really get me anywhere so I am scared I will feel the same way about an MBA. I also fear the regret of not taking this opportunity to get the MBA bc I am young and have the time/energy. SO CONFUSED and I need to tell the school ASAP.

Any advice? West Chester is fully online. Is this school looked down on? Is online bad? Are MBAs worthless…?

Since you are hoping that the MBA will create opportunities for you that your last master’s didn’t, I would spend more time thinking of how you can advance from your current position without the MBA. What is the next step on the career path if a medical broker? What kinds of networking are you doing right now?

No, an online MBA wouldn’t do much for you either.
Most people go to get an MBA from a school that can help them get a job. Since an online U does not a have an on campus recruiting office, it wouldn’t help you much seeking a job that requires an MBA and pays accordingly.
