One of my professors is giving me a ride home for winter break. Would it be weird to get her a thank you gift (like some chocolates)? She won’t be my professor next semester and grades are already in, so it wouldn’t seem like I’m bribing her or anything.
I don’t think it would be weird. Obviously you and your professor are very close since she is giving you a ride home. I would try to keep this bond going because then she could maybe even write you a letter of recommendation later down the road. If grades are already in then you should be fine. Have a good winter break!
If you want to, I guess.
Definitely not weird. That was a very nice, above and beyond thing. Also definitely a nice thank you note (or email).
Absolutely appropriate.
It should be a small thing like cookies or chocolate.
