Should I go to CCNY for CS

I have an option to go to CCNY to get a BS in CS, but I researched the professors there and the ratings for most of them were not good. Filled with 1 / 5 star ratings. The students also complain about the classes being too hard and knowing that I am not the smartest student, I’m sure I would be following the footsteps of the students who had to withdraw or change majors, which I don’t want.

So should I still go for it because the CS program in CCNY is well known, or should I play it safe and go to another CUNY college like Hunter college to pursue a BA of CS?

I think that you should go to the school that makes you feel most comfortable. Maybe meet with one or two profs at CCNY and then at Hunter and get the feel. For CS my understanding is that the career trajectory is more determined by what you can DO than by where you go to college. Best of luck to you.
