I would suggest an app like tinder or something similar. I met my guy through that. If you live in a major city you willhave LOTS of options
However you will probably get messages from guys that may be rather vulgar. LOL. Depending on what you are looking for (relationship/hook-up/friend with benefits/casual date), you can find someone you like.
Your mother is absolutely correct:
Are you that desperate?
I think you are going to college for the wrong reason.
Why aren’t you concerned about your major? Your study habits? (College study habits are crucial!)
Dorm moves? Finances? Graduating? Your future job prospects?
We used to call it the MRS degree and we knew exactly who was going for that.
Same way you meet a boyfriend or other friend any other time in life, often when you least expect it, funny enough.
Whatever you do, don’t chase him. Boys will come to you. Bees to honey.
All you need to do is make sure that you’re honey (and not desperate, chasing, icky honey).
Go about your business. (Hang out at places you like. You will find guys who like the same thing. Don’t hang out at places you don’t really like or you will find guys that like things that you don’t like. Get it? People are saying: go about your business because it’s those places where you will find people like you. If you want to find guys interested in what you’re interested in, do the things that truly interest you.)
Call me old fashioned but getting sexual come-on messages from Tindr seems unpleasant. And potentially dangerous because you could be meeting . . . .who knows?? On the internet no one knows that you’re a dog. . . .

While nothing is foolproof, finding a guy who’s somewhat vetted by your friends and acquaintances seems a little more sure.
I think when you stop trying to find one, it sort of happens (as annoying at it is)… besides you don’t need to leave college with a future husband lined up, you’ll have plenty of time to meet people after!
Juts wondering. I asked my mom but she’s like that’s not important . Well I wanted to know how she got one. They dated for 2 years.
