Should I go to UCSB or Cal Poly SLO???

So for me, it is down to these two schools, and i don't know which one i want to go to.

pick for me.

information:

I am majoring in computer science

the more prestigious the better

the more liberal the better

the more asians the better

which school should I go to?

UCSB
(10 chars)

Is this a serious question? UCSB of course

^A lot of people don't realize that Cal Poly has many excellent departments in the sciences.

Anyway, to answer the the questions of the OP:

-I'd say the prestige is about equal. Cal Poly will also be cheaper.
-All California public schools are liberal. Some (UCSC, SFSU, Humboldt) are just more liberal than others
-Neither has a lot of Asians when you compare it to other California public schools

Visit both if you can. Students tend to find one campus "fits" better than the other.

I'm doing Comp Sci as well and I'm choosing SB over SLO.

SB has a really good Comp Sci program and if you want you can get your masters in 5 years.

SLO is definitely more conservative.
And if you ever want to switch majors there its a HUGE hassle.

UCSB>SLO in almost all respects, if you ask me.
Better location, better academics, etc.

But visit both, as everyone else has suggested. Who knows? Maybe you'll like SLO's atmosphere better. It honestly depends a lot on the person.
