Should I have Any Hope?

Hi!

I am currently a student at a top tier liberal arts college, but a less prestigious school than UNC.

I applied for Junior transfer to UNC Chapel Hill for fall 2009.

I have a 4.0 GPA, minority status, and am a NC resident.

Should I have a decent shot to get accepted? Especially as a junior transfer (no SAT/HS not really looked at)? Or is the competitiveness high enough that it could go either way? (which it always can!)

really no one has any opinion? maybe i should have specified that I applied on the very last day, and I assumed that could be a really bad thing…

I think you have a pretty good shot at getting in. YOu have a 4.0 gpa and your a in-state applicant. I also apply to UNC. so good luck.

Applying on the last day means nothing, unless it’s rolling admissions and they filled up the slots before your app arrive. Otherwise, schools don’t really seriously get into reviewing apps until after freshman admissions usually. Sometimes they don’t even process the apps until then.

As to your chances, no one can say. You have a good profile, of course.

bumpppppppppppppppppppp

You are so in.
