<p>I have been on this website a lot in the past few days and have saw what a lot of people have wrote about in their personal statement. I wrote about hating my race for the majority of my life and how I overcame it but I am regretting writing about this. I wish I had written about my volunteer experiences because that is what colleges like to see and that's what everyone had told me to write about..GAHH I wish I could change it :/</p>

<p>College admission committees love a good fish-out-of-water story. As long as the essay was coherent and grammatically correct (note the error in your starter subject), I think you did the right thing to write about such an important issue in your life. Good luck!</p>
