<p>Mattmom, I thought that was a hidden gem! It is a good way to deal with deciding what to enter on any list where there’s no chance to explain.</p>
<p>OP said he doesn’t have to write an essay. We know a short list is sometimes a greater challenge. </p>
<p>S-2 applied to film school as a screenwriting major, so had to write a full-page essay analyzing why his favorite movie was his favorite. He chose “Fargo” – that snow covered murder story from North Dakota with the female detective. I guess it’s a writer’s movie, and he likes the Coen Brothers other work, too. Anyway he did get in.</p>

<p>How resourceful of the OP to come to Parents for an adult perspective, knowing the readers will also be adults (some younger, of course).</p>
