That would put my document over a total of 500 words.
Also, does anyone know if this essay plays a role in my admissions?
From what I understand, the scholarship committee and the admissions committee both look at my application. The scholarship obviously comes out before the admissions decisions, so does that mean the scholarship committee also accepts people? In which case my essay would play a role?
Because I feel like I could do way more with the scholarship essay prompt than the extracurricular activity prompt.
I didn’t include it, but I suppose you can if you want. You’re supposed to submit it as a pdf anyway so they might not even be able to see word count.
If you receive the scholarship, you are notified both that you received the scholarship and that you have been admitted in February. If you don’t get it, I believe you find that out in February but get your admissions decision at the normal time.
No one here knows whether the scholarship essay plays a role in admissions - the best person to ask would be your admissions counselor.
@collegebobollege February?! That’s much earlier than I thought. I read that it was, at least a few years ago, March 9.
Alright, well thank you for your info. I will put the prompt in, just to play it safe. Thanks!
It might be March, I might’ve been remembering the dates for Ingram by accident. I’d expect to hear back in late february or early march. Good luck!
You’ll be notified early March for the CV scholarship.
