Should I inform colleges of my intention to update SAT scores? Urgent! Please HELP!

Hi people, I need some good advice on this issue. Many Thanks!
I have submitted my CommonApp for RD admission this year and all my previous SAT scores (2 sets) by late Dec/early Jan. I have recently taken the 2014 Jan SAT I and I feel that I have performed better in it. Most of the schools I am applying to are the Ivy Leagues which accept the Jan SAT, however, I am worried about the possibility that updated SAT scores will be considered for admission only if colleges receive them before a decision has been made on my application. Is my concern valid?
I did not indicate on the CommonApp that I intend to retake the SAT I because my previous scores are decent. So should I email the colleges about the possibility of my SAT score update? Or should I just wait for the scores to come out on Feb 13 and then rush report my scores? I feel quite confident that I have improved my scores but the scores are not out yet so I cannot be sure.

Is my worry unnecessary since the colleges I am applying to state that they accept the Jan SAT? Any guidance on what I should do now?

Help will be greatly appreciated! :) Thanks!
