Basically the topic says it all. Should I transfer school to join IB? I don't mind transferring. But is it worth it?

Umm idk what would you transfer from(bad school, lots of AP’s, few AP’s, terrible teachers, terrible school, etc.), how long has IB been at the school, and what type of person are you(academically, extra curricularly, and socially)? Sorry, these seem a little random, but you shouldn’t just get into IB because you hear it’s hard or something.

And IB doesnt start untill the 11th grade.

I’m transferring due to personal issues that won’t allow me to stay at my current school. It’s a good school with alot of AP’s but the change would be beneficial to me. It’s not because I did anything wrong or things like that.

It’s been at that school for around 25 years. Academically I’m pretty good. I have all A’s and one B but I’m going to fix that. I participate in some sports but I’m not too involved in much extracurriculars. And socially I’m okay I’m not too into the social life or anything. And I want to go because I feel like besides my current school it will give me the best education I can get.

And I meant to say pre-IB because that school prefers you start in pre-IB.

I’m SO sorry I didn’t reply back and it has been nearly two weeks since you replied. Lol I’ve been busy with IB and haven’t been able to check my email in two weeks which equals almost 200 emails O_O Anyway I’m going off topic. I think that since you’re not going for the wrong reasons and you’re willing to work, I think you’ll be fine. You will be more involved with the diploma then AP. Ask people who have been through the program or maybe the counselor on what you’re getting into. I’ve written past posts over IB, so if you’re willing to search, you’ll get a better idea of what your junior year will be like. :D
