hey everyone,
so i just received my report card, it is very bad. this years i did ok in school becuse i was transfer to a very competitive school. my grades are A and B. but i got 2C's and 2D's in my spanish class. i try very hard to get a good grade and i try everything. so when the next school years starts, i'm go to take chinese 2. also next years, i'm confident that i will get all A's. but i'm just worry that my spanish grades will effect my acceptances to cornell. i'm going to be a junior next years. if i get all A's next than my gpa will be 3.8.below are my stat after my junior year.

can you guy please chance me?
should i just give up now because of my spanish grade?

just asking, what are my chances if i'm not a recruited athletic?

Don’t give up, all your other stats seem really good, and one bad grade isn’t enough to get you disqualified right off the bat. Certainly worth the $50 or whatever the application fee is. Plus you’re a female going for CS, so particularly if it’s the engineering college, you should get a boost there.

Write a good essay and you should have a solid chance.

In-state with a 2350 SAT, 35 GPA, 3.8 UW GPA, and possibly a recruited athlete? You have as good a shot (if not better) as most applicants. Check out the results threads of year’s past. You’ll see you have better credentials than most applicants. You should, in no way, “give up on Cornell”.

Do you actually have any of these stats or is this pure speculation? I kind of find it hard to believe that you have a 2350/35/four 800s if you only got 'C’s and 'D’s in Spanish.
