I've had a standardized test every 2 weeks for the past month or so. 3 Weeks ago was SAT IIs, last week was the ACT, and next week I am signed up for the SAT.

I've taken both the SAT and ACT before, and I did much better on the ACT. I actually hardly studied for my ACT, and on my first try I got a 31. I studied quite a bit for the SAT and got a 2020 my first time.

I studied quite a bit for last weeks ACT, and I am expecting a 32 or 33. Should I even bother taking the SAT again? I have been doing practice questions and they are not going too well...

I know that I am much better at the ACT, and I only have a week to cram for the SAT.

Is it even worth my trouble? What should I do?

You just need to think about it in terms of which schools you’re applying to. If your ACT is going to be sufficient, then don’t bother with the SAT again. This is especially true since you haven’t really been putting in any prep time, and you’re not likely to raise your score much, if at all. I suppose you could throw all your efforts into increasing your score on one section in the next week, if your colleges superscore and you’ve got one section you’d like to improve. Good luck!

Thanks swans, that is really good advice actually. I’ll just focus on increasing my math score, and if I’m not happy with my score I still have my good ACT scores to fall back on.

Thanks!

Glad to help - let us know how it goes!

to be honest, I think people overrate ACT scores of 29/30/31. My friend scored in the 1700s twice and got a 30 first try on ACT. From what I have seen, a 31 ACT word correlate to about a 2020.
