should i live in the school dormitory or rent an apartment with friends?

i am now considering about living in the school dormitory or renting an apartment with friends. can anyone share your experience of either one? how is the school dormitory like? would it be more convenient for students to live in the dormitory? please feel free to share your experience:)

I believe freshman are required to live in the dorms. Sophomore housing is guaranteed but not required.

Freshmen and sophomores are now required to live on campus with a few specific exceptions (you commute from your family home within 20 miles of Boston, you are over 21 years old etc.)

Live in the dorm, that is how you will make more friends.

Live in the dorms. You’re required to your first two years anyway, plus it’s a good experience. You have plenty of time to rent an apartment. You’ll meet a lot of people in your dorm, it’s good for making friends.

I lived in Stetson my first year, and it wasn’t too bad at all. None of the freshman dorms are bad. Now that I’m a sophomore I live in west village and its awesome.

oh i didn’t know that freshman are required to live in campus. thank you all for your information:) glad to know that living in dorm seemed to be a great experience for most of you.

live in the dorm. you will meet incredible friends in dorms!!
