Should I mail my essay directly to a College?

With all the common application mess ups and disasters, my counselor suggested that I should just print out my correctly formatted essay and mail it directly to them and attach a letter explaining why I'm sending it. Is this actually a good idea? Will they just get angry at all the extra paperwork I'm sending? Money to send the envelopes is not a problem since its not actually that expensive to mail things and I'm not applying to a crazy number of colleges.

If you still can’t get the paragraph breaks working after looking through everything in this forum I’d just submit it as one big block instead… don’t want things getting lost through the mail. Feel like there would be more complications using mail than just submitting with format errors.

I already submitted the essay on a few of my applications but indentation and paragraph breaks dont like to work on the final pdf submission. I wanted to send the same essay but formatted correctly alongside whatever was in my common app.

I don’t think formatting errors will sway a decision one way or another, but it wouldn’t hurt to send them if you really wanted to.
