Which subject should I major in? I want to major in biology specifically for medical school and also because I’m interested in biology. If the medical school route doesn’t work out I don’t know what to do with the biology degree. My main interest is medicine but my second interest is law enforcement. I honestly can’t make up my mind if I should major in biology or criminal justice, law, or criminology. My plan b is to work in the CIA, FBI, ICE, or at my local PD.
If your main interest is medicine, there are many options in other health professions in case you don’t get into medical school: Physician Assistant programs, physical therapy, nursing (MSN), public health, etc.
Also, you do not need to major in biology in order to go to med school. As long as you complete the premed requirements, you can major in just about any liberal arts & sciences or engineering field. So, you could major in a field like psychology, which would be relevant to both of your interests.
