Should I print my app materials on special paper?

I'm mailing my application, and well, plain paper seems so unspecial. I want to put it on special paper but the kind that I found is heavier than regular paper, so if it's all consisted of special paper it feels heavy (in relation to nrml paper). If you mailed your application, did you use plain paper or something else? And is your ink spill proof (doesn't bleed when it gets wet)?

Many places immediately scan your materials so they can be read offsite. No need to invest in special (heavier weight) paper. What the papers SAY will be much more important than this seemingly apparent attempt to gain an advantage. Don't do it.

What if the special paper also makes the text darker + sharper and thus scanned better? Does that make a difference? I know I probably sound like I'm freaking out over something petty but just asking.

I guess I will be using plain paper after all.

Why send a paper application at all? You will slow the processing of your app and create more work for admission staff.

I agree with Dean J, the preferred method with the lowest error rate for you is online.
