Should I quit band for AP studio art (Bad for college?)?

Okay, so this the problem:
I am a sophomore in high school and I have been in band for 2 years now and it feels a little stagnant lately. I love art and I feel like that is the path I should pursue. I do love band also but I do not know if I should quit in order to make room in my schedule for ap studio art. Would it look bad for colleges if I were to quit. After I quit, I plan on rejoining it my senior year.

I have several leadership positions in band including drum major and section leader that would look good for college, so I do not know if quitting would be a bad choice. However, ap studio art is weighted and it is something I enjoy equally. Is it worth quitting for college?

I want to pursue a career in design and I feel it will be beneficial, however if I take ap studio art next year, I cannot take an art class senior year

What do you think is the best path to take?

Should I just quit something more academic like German or something?

(I can't take ap art in senior year instead because I have to take two AP classes for gov and econ)

Is there an art club you could join after school? I personally think staying in band, especially if you have leadership positions, would look much better for college than taking AP studio art. Also I’ve heard that AP studio art is a lot of work. But it’s really up to you. If you like art better than band, perhaps dropping band would be best for your own happiness.

I say go for it, I rather have a person in love with something than a stagnant leader.
