Which high school schedule would be better for college?

So, I'm debating on whether to quit band or not... and these are the schedules if I quit or don't quit band. Which would be better for college?

WITH band
Junior:
0-Band
1-Adv Band
2-AP Studio Art
3-APUSH
4-AP Lit
5-German 3-H
6-Algebra 2/Trig-H

Senior:
0-Band
1-Adv Band
2-Trig H
3-AP Gov
4-AP Econ
5-AP LA
6-AP Bio

or WITHOUT Band
Junior:
1-AP Studio Art
2-APUSH
3-AP Lit
4-AP Chem
5-German 3-H
6-Algebra 2/Trig

Senior:
1-AP Econ
2-AP Gov
3-AP LA
4-Ap Bio
5-AP German
6-Trig-H

Sophomore now:
I want to quit band primarily for AP Studio art b/c I want to try for an art school possibly or a UC

If I quit band, I can join AP Studio Art (junior year), AP Chem (junior year), and AP German (senior year)

The problem is I have MULTIPLE and important leadership positions in band and idk if it is worth quitting them for these classes!

Would quitting band be the right choice for UC's (cal, UCLA..) or an art school? or are the lack of EC's not worth it?

I have the same problem. I signed up to take Advanced Graphic Design and Speech and Debate II instead of AP Physics. What I’m doing, though, is taking Physics over the summer or in the fall at my local community college, so I can still take the course, but fulfill my passions at the same time :)

Omg. What should i do tho?!

Do what you really want to do and it will work out

Agree with Geeseman 100%. Do whatever you love. If you enjoy band, don’t worry about how it will look to a college. I had this same dilemma and decided to stick with band, and everything worked out. I would have had MAJOR regrets had I decided to drop band. Plus, colleges always need players for their ensembles, and playing an instrument (especially oboe or harp or something) is always a plus. The schedules are pretty comparable in rigor, and changing things around really won’t make much of a difference to colleges, I don’t think. So just follow your passions; people on CC ultimately won’t be the ones to decide. But keep in mind that if you are serious about an art school like you mentioned, you’d probably gain plenty of experience and instruction from AP Studio Art; I would talk to someone in the field, because I don’t know anything about getting into art school.
