Should I quit college for 2 years for the military?

Right now I got to a state college, and want to transfer to a top college. My GPA is 3.7 or so and I am a Sophomore, and I attempted to transfer to a top 40 school, and if rejected, is it effective to take a break from college after completing this semester to be a Junior, and enlist in the military through the 15 months accelerated program and + 2 years of reserves and during the 2 years of reserves I could go back to school and hopefully transfer to a top elite college?

So the question is does colleges look favorably on 3.7 gpa AND military service ? Like someone with prior military service and a OK gpa can get into a good school like Harvard lol? Plus joining the military may be a change and equals experience?

How much a difference does college admissions officers look at military service? Will like 15 months of active duty make a difference to transfer into a good school? Just wondering, and no offense to veterans or soldiers if this message offends you. Thanks for any advice you can give.

No offense taken. Most colleges believe (and I think rightly) that you will be a little more mature with military time under your belt. Just remember that being in the reserves right now does not necessarily mean you will be available to go to school full time. You could be deployed. It has happened to some friends.
