Should I quit my job?

I started working at a movie theatre on wednesday night. First night I worked from 5:30pm to 12am(was supposed to work 5:30-11) and last night I worked from 6pm-2:30am(was supposed to work 6-12). I am a freshman in college and have classes at 10am, so I have to get up at 8am to be able to drive there on time.

I am not sure if I will be able to continue working into the morning hours, I have no time to do my homework, and I get almost no sleep because of how late they keep me. I'd rather not have to quit after two days and look like a douchbag, but I might just have to. I work from 12:45-11:15 tomorrow, and I am really not looking forward to it. Not to mention, I'll be missing the biggest game of the year tomorrow if I go to work.

Why don't you sign up for earlier shifts?

I'm an usher; the only times they need me is during the day/night on weekends and at nights on weekdays.

If I were you, I'd stick it out a bit longer if only to see if things get better. Because the first couple of days on a new job are probably the worst, and when you're not so new anymore, you might actually get off from work when you're supposed to. If you feel comfortable doing so, you might talk to whoever's in charge or whoever you work with and let them know that you're not a pushover who can be made to stay as long as they want you to.

Everyone who works nights at the theatre usually stay at least an hour after they are supposed to let out.
