I just took the SAT for a second time and my overall score dropped to a 1500 from a 1510 but my superscored test went up to a 1520. Does it look bad to colleges if I take it a 3rd time? Also, if I take it a third time, should I still take it with the essay? Because I’ve taken it with the essay and scored perfect both times and don’t feel like wasting another 40 mins if I take the SAT again. Not sure if it’s relevant but I took the ACT and got a 34. Should I try that a 2nd time maybe instead of the SAT a third time?
I wouldn’t take it again. Your got essentially the same result twice with a perfect essay score. You are unlikely to get a different result a third time.
You also have a 34 ACT, a 99%+ score. I think you are done with testing, a score that is consistent with your 1500-1510.
A 1550+ or a 35+ composite is not going to make a difference in your admissions outcomes. Relax!
