Should I really have give my teachers a list of my activities?

For teacher recommendations, the school requires that I give my teachers a list of all the activities I am involved in. However, this is already on my CommonApp. So was there really a point in having my teachers include it in the letters of rec? I mean, it's just going to look super redundant. Not that I can take anything back now...

Ideally the list is to give them more perspective…they’re probably not copying it verbatim into the letter if they have anything better to say.

It’s to your advantage, yes. They won’t list them, and I doubt that they will mention them, for most people. It gives them a rounder picture of you as a student outside of their own classroom. It helps them get to know you better.
