I am an international student from Asia. I sat for the SAT I in Jan 2011, and got a 2230 on my first try with 730CR, and 740M. I know for a fact that almost all the students from my country who got into top 20 national unis this time had below 2270 ?(I'm taking a gap year). So I am not very concerned with my relatively low SAT I for top 25 unis and top 20 LACs....by which I mean that by SAT won't be what keeps me out.

However, I'm looking to apply to some good colleges that are not that highly ranked, such as Case Western, Tulane and perhaps Michigan, well this is ranked quite high i guess.

I need aid.

Would retaking the SAT I help me get some merit based scholarship at such schools? Should I retake...because I have done nothing related to the SAT I for a really long time.
