Should I report my unweighted class rank as of junior year?

I’m a senior applying to Cornell University. We just started school a few days ago and I finally got a chance to see my transcript so that I could fill out the common application. Since the day my school started, until last year, we had used the unweighted scale. This year we started the weighted GPA system. I’m pretty sure that my class rank will change by the end of this coming semester. Also, when I talked to one of secretaries at our school, she said that my rank might change in January because of the students that transferred out. Should I just report the class rank that is printed on the transcript as of junior year? (I’m ranked 3rd out of 43. It will be out of 41 in January.)

I would ask your guidance counselor to see what he or she recommend.

Just go with the transcript says, you don’t want to create discrepancies in the application, especially transcript things.
