I applied ED to Cornell in late October, and I read that Cornell alumnus often contact students for "information sessions", but I did not yet receive a notice for one yet. I know not all students get contacted by an alumni, but I was really looking forward to it as I wanted to learn more about Cornell from the perspective of someone who goes there, and I wanted to touch upon some points about myself and Cornell that I was not able to in my application. Would it be worth it to try to set up an information session myself somehow, or just leave it be?

I would just leave it be. Regional volunteer coordinators reached out to their volunteer interviewers just last week, so the interviewers are still contacting the applicants. They have a very tight turnaround for contacting the ED applicants.

My son was admitted ED last year and he was never contacted for an interview. Your application will not be judged as lacking if you do not have an interview, but no one should refuse an interview if offered, assuming time and distance permit.

Many of the alum interviewers are older, so you may receive more current info from this site than from the alum interviewer. Best of luck to you!
