Should I retake (2100)? Advice?

For the June exam I received a 2100.
CR: 670
M: 720
W: 710 (10 essay)

I previously took the January exam and received a 1880 and improved by one hundred points in both CR and M. My mom wants me to retake to get a better score for scholarships and stuff, but I don't know if I can do any better.

I'm interested in UCLA, UCSD, Cornell, Columbia, NYU, Brown, and maybe UPenn.

Any advice would be welcome! I'm stuck. =/

Far less than 1% of retakers can pop more than a 200+ increase. I understand the need to retest but I think you’re done. 2100+ is a very respectable score. GL

If you want a better chance for Cornell, Brown, and NYU, you probably need a higher score. Your CR+M is only 1390. In general, you want to get 1500 for a better chance. How many practice test have you done? Did you reach a plateau in practice already? If you feel you can get a better score, go ahead and retake for a better chance. If not, then you should focus on something else to improve your chance.

Can you just get a scholarship by getting a good SAT score? I’ve never heard about that before.

@billcsho its enough for NYU i believe…
Upenn Ucla cornell columbia and brown is abit of a reach
especially upenn and columbia
but i think u should be okay but retake if you think you can get a 100 point or higher increase
