Should I retake?

So as many know, the June SAT created a bit of a stirrup. I’m currently in a tight spot as well. I got my scores back and it came out to be 2100 (680 CR/730 m/690wr).
The problem occurred to me when I checked my score report and saw how many I actually got wrong. The total came out to be 14, the same amount of questions I got wrong on the march SAT which I got a 2190. From March, i have a 1420/1600 which puts me below average for many of my schools. In fact I got 4 more questions right in the CR/M portion this time around.
So my question is should I retake? I’m assuming for schools such as Cornell, UNC, UVA, UT Austin (McCombs), and my top is NYU Stern.

I haven’t taken my math 2/physics subject tests yet and I have a 34 on the ACT (e35/m36/r35/s28). And I’m a rising senior.

You should find out if your schools super score the SAT and what your super score is if they do. That will help you decide. If the score is lower than the average admitted - yes you probably should.

@MaterMia my highest score is a 2190. It’s 10-20 pts below average for Stern and UPENN (out of 1600). If I should retake, when should i do it, October or November? I still have yet to take math 2 and physics. I’m confident i can get above 750 on physics and 800 on math2.

Why don’t you just send your ACT scores? They’re significantly better than your SAT scores.

Would sending my SAT hurt my application? @neoking

It really depends on the college you want to attend. It may or may not for some, but if they do not require you to send all test scores, why send the worse one? I think it would be best you avoid risks like that because your ACT score is awesome.

No brainier, just send your ACT scores. Don’t waste time and energy on another SAT.
