I got a 760 on dec4. I want to go to UCLA, NYU, Carnegie Mellon, UPENN even and other schools on the same tier. I'm a junior.

to the point.

i have many other sat2's i need to take but i feel like there's only so many test dates that the Fag Board gives us. I also need to take New Sats. So i'm thinking about replaced a SATI (0ld) and retaking 2c on January. Do you think the 2c will be worth taking if i can get a 790 or even 800 and not take my first real SAT for practice? (even though i'm taking the NEW sat).

IF i do, i would also add chemistry to the same date to conserve my precious test dates that i would need to use for NEW sats and maybe cram more sat2's into another testdate.

I got a 760. Would I have been happy if I had gotten 800? Of course. Am I going to retake it? No. Why should I use my precious studying time for chem to learn how to do f(x)=3x^2+48x+2, x=9 again? Plus, my schedule:
Jan-finals, study time
March-new SAT
May-APs
June-finals + Chem SATII (which I think is more important than the IIC)
{college apps, etc.}
Oct-SAT (if needed)
Nov-Chem SATII (if needed)
and...yeah. APs, finals.

No way would I retake that thing and study again (and ultimately get my parents disappointed that I got a 790, oh, boo hoo) while I'm studying for more important classes and tests. But if need be, and I feel bored, I'll only retake it if I get a decent score in Oct or Nov on the SAT or Chem SATII and I don't have apps to do.

760 is extremely high don't complain!!! many people will kill for a score like that, focus on other things~!!~!~ i took the test too, and first i was very disappointed at not geting an 800, but then i thought :"i'll live" u'll live too with 760!!! it's like what 78 percentile? still very good!!!!
