I was wondering because I got one C in my English 102 class, as a joint enrollment student in high school. I'm wondering if it is worth it to retake the class, or just to not worry about it and just do well throughout college.

No. Take lots more English classes to make up for it.

I think for English it’s ok. You don’t need to retake it.

What about for science classes and if you got a lot of Cs? Should you retake some of them?

If you’re getting a lot of C’s in science classes, you need to reconsider taking science classes.

I got a B+ in a high school ECE course, retook the class in college and got an A and got the B+ changed to an audit. It was more for me to get stronger at writing than the grade though. I wouldn’t retake it if you don’t care for bettering your writing. It’s just English.

You should care about bettering your English. The MCAT is an English exam. About two-thirds of the passages are about science, but it is still fundamentally a reading comprehension exam. And unlike undergrad admissions, personal statements and interviews are absolutely crucial in medical school admissions.

Medical schools require just as much English as they do Biology. That should tell you how important it is.
