I took the test for Math IIC last May 2007 and I got a 750 on it .. it was a bit of a shocker for me and while I do realized that it's in the 70th percentile, would you all recommend me to retake my test this January 2008?

I really want to get an 800 this time, especially since my dream college is Columbia. I think I'm an above average student (taking AP Chem and AP Calc this year) and I know for sure I can get over 2000 on my SAT's (I first got this score when I took it in 8th grade).

By the way, has anyone ever used the SAT II Math for Dummies book? I might buy that since I already have Kaplan and used Barron's last year (which I hated).

I'd put in lower on your priority list, 750 won't hurt you anywhere, probably not even at a place like Columbia. Depending on how much time you have, you might want to first focus on raising your other subject tests to above 750 before you try to improve an already good score.

750 is a respectable score, but for a high end school like Columbia...

If it were me, I'd definitely retake it. You probably just went in cold or had a bad test day or something. Just review the basics that you might have forgotten, and go for it again. However, I agree with everyone else when they say that this is not your biggest priority. You probably have much more important things to do.
